Annual General Meeting 2024/2025

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of IET On-Campus University of Moratuwa was successfully held on June 8th, 2024, starting at 7:00 p.m. The event commenced with an inauguration video showcasing past events conducted by the organization. This was followed by a welcoming address by Mr. Vimukthi Rajith, who greeted the gathering and introduced the distinguished guest speaker, Dr. Ranga Rodrigo. Eng. Nimantha Madhushan, Chairman of the IET Young Professionals Sri Lanka, served as the keynote speaker and also other distinguished YP members.

Dr. Ranga Rodrigo delivered an inspiring speech, highlighting the benefits of IET membership and discussing future paths for engineers. Following this, the Assistant Secretary, Miss Navanjana Gunawardhane, read the minutes from the previous year. These minutes were seconded by a participant, signifying their accuracy and approval.

Subsequently, the financial report for the year 2023/2024 was presented by the Junior Treasurer, Mr. Situmina Pramod, and was also seconded by the participants, confirming its accuracy and transparency. The AGM reached a pivotal moment with the election of new board members, signifying a transition in leadership perspectives.

The newly elected executive committee members including Chairman, Secretary, and Junior Treasurer were proposed and seconded by the participants. The newly elected chairman, Mr. Nisal Sri Karunathilake, then presented the plan for the upcoming year. One of the most special moments of the event was the keynote speech delivered by Eng. Nimantha Madhushan, took the virtual stage to provide insights into the value of IET student membership.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks, gracefully delivered by the newly elected Secretary, Ms. Navanjana Gunawardhane, marking the formal closure of the successful AGM. The newly elected executive committee members for 2024/2025 were announced.

The interview process led to the election of the sub-committee, directors, and supervisors, all of whom were committed to the event's success. The team collaborated diligently to enhance organizational aspects, effectively dividing tasks during AGM discussions, resulting in a streamlined process and a very successful event.
