Institute of Engineering and Technology on Campus General Sir John Kotelawala Defense University(IET-KDU) is collaborated with Electronics, Robotics and Innovation Club of General Sir John Kotelawala Defense University (ERIC- KDU) , Ratmalana recently played host to a captivating event. In a world rapidly advancing through technological innovations, the ability to communicate effectively remains a cornerstone of human connection and progress. On June 10, 2024, Dr. Amal Punchihewa, a distinguished expert in the field of communication technologies, delivered an insightful guest lecture titled "Navigating Future Communication by Human for Human" at FOE 4-1.

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of IET On-Campus University of Moratuwa was successfully held on June 8th, 2024, starting at 7:00 p.m. The event commenced with an inauguration video showcasing past events conducted by the organization. This was followed by a welcoming address by Mr. Vimukthi Rajith, who greeted the gathering and introduced the distinguished guest speaker, Dr. Ranga Rodrigo. Eng. Nimantha Madhushan, Chairman of the IET Young Professionals Sri Lanka, served as the keynote speaker and also other distinguished YP members.

Annual General Meeting 2024/2025

On May 17, 2024, we celebrated the inauguration ceremony and the first Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the IET on Campus at NIT. The primary objective of the inauguration ceremony and first Annual General Meeting (AGM) was to officially launch the IET on Campus chapter at NIT, introducing its mission, vision, and goals to students and faculty, thereby setting the foundation for future activities and initiatives.

Annual General Meeting of the Institution of Engineering and Technology On - Campus University  of Ruhuna is held on 06th March 2024 at ELR, Department of Electrical and Information  Engineering from 3.00 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. All the members with executive committees participated  the meeting. The event was graced by Dr. Rajitha Udawalpola, Head of the Department of  Electrical and Information Engineering, Senior Lecturer Dr.Thilina Weerasingha and Senior  Lecturer Dr. Sadun Konara.

The conception for IET recruitment 2024 happened during our aim was to recruit the new batch of volunteers for IET on-campus University of Moratuwa and bring IET to them. A series of meetings were held to gather ideas for recruitment in 2024. The aim was to lay out plans, create schedules, update programs according to the event calendar, and set suitable committees for the event.

The IET InkQuest Article Writing Competition, organized by IET on Campus at the University of Peradeniya, was a prestigious platform aimed at inspiring and motivating young undergraduates to explore the latest technologies and trends and articulate them in an attractive and engaging manner through their writing.

The drone workshop, “The Quadgame”, organized by the IET On Campus University of Peradeniya, marked a significant endeavor in fostering practical understanding and expertise in Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) technology among engineering undergraduates. It was successfully held on the 26th of January 2024 from 9.00 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Drawing Office II, Faculty of Engineering, University of Peradeniya. This workshop was held with a focus on simulation, design, fabrication, and practical application. Also, this initiative embodies interdisciplinary collaboration, hands-on learning, and industry-relevant skill development.

Arunalu‘23, a Mathematics Seminar Series, was a two-day educational event that provided an enriching experience for Grade 11 students of Sri Walagamba Maha Vidyalaya. The first day covered the fundamentals of mathematics and its applications, including an in-depth look at quadratic equations. The following day delved into logarithms and concluded with a paper discussion, fostering analytical skills among the participants. With attendance numbers reaching 76 on the first day and 72 on the second, the seminar series successfully engaged a dedicated group of young learners.
