Inauguration ceremony of the IET on Campus at NIT

On May 17, 2024, we celebrated the inauguration ceremony and the first Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the IET on Campus at NIT. The primary objective of the inauguration ceremony and first Annual General Meeting (AGM) was to officially launch the IET on Campus chapter at NIT, introducing its mission, vision, and goals to students and faculty, thereby setting the foundation for future activities and initiatives. A key aim was to bring together students, faculty, and industry professionals to facilitate networking opportunities and foster a sense of community, creating a supportive environment for professional growth and collaboration. The event also focused on conducting the AGM to introduce the office bearers of the IET chapter, establishing a leadership team to drive the chapter’s activities and initiatives throughout the year. Additionally, creating awareness about the benefits of IET membership and encouraging student participation in upcoming events, workshops, and activities was crucial to ensuring active involvement and engagement within the chapter. To organize the event, an organizing committee comprising students and faculty advisors was formed to define the event agenda, including the inauguration ceremony, keynote speeches, montage, and the AGM, ensuring a well-structured and smooth event. The campus venue was reserved, and arrangements were made for seating, audio-visual equipment, and decorations to create a professional and welcoming
atmosphere. Invitations were sent to students, faculty, industry professionals, and IET representatives, with the event promoted through campus-wide emails, social media, and word-of-mouth to ensure maximum participation.

The event was a significant milestone, setting the stage for a vibrant, active IET community at NIT.
